HOW DOES PROPEL WORK TO SPEED UP ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT?

Propel is a procedure that involves small incisions to perforate the cortical bone in areas that are being orthodontically treated.  This speeds the process of tooth movement, leading to overall shortened treatment time.

You will be given local anesthetic prior to the procedure, so you will only feel pressure while the incisions are made.

You can expect to experience mild discomfort and swelling for several days after the procedure.
