HOW DO I GET RID OF WHITE SPOTS ON TEETH AFTER BRACES?

After the debonding of your braces, you may be disappointed to see "white spots" around where the brackets were placed. The "white spots" around the bracket spaces are actually areas of decalcification, which are the early stages of cavity formation.

If this is the case, see your general dentist for a comprehensive oral evaluation to check for any cavity formation and for a fluoride treatment. At this time, you can ask your general dentist about options for camouflaging the discoloration, including resin infiltration treatment for coverage, microabrasion, or general whitening of all the teeth to minimize the color discrepancy.
