It is not recommended to leave aligners in the mouth while smoking. Smoking can stain the clear aligners, and the heat can cause the tray to warp.

Smoking is strongly discouraged - it increases the risk of oral cancer, can cause oral ulcerations, and causes dry mouth which encourages development of dental caries and periodontal disease.
